Green Space

Four ways to get outside.

Whether you've got an afternoon or a whole walking holiday, Telford's outdoor spaces scale to fit.

01

Telford Town Park

Voted the UK's Best Park in 2015. 450 acres of woodland, a Japanese garden, high ropes and zip lines, mini golf, and one of the finest urban nature reserves in the country — right next to Southwater.

02

The Silkin Way

A 14-mile traffic-free cycling and walking route tracing Telford's industrial past, linking Bratton in the north-west all the way down to the museums of Ironbridge Gorge. Hire a bike from the Town Park hub.

03

The Wrekin

Shropshire's landmark hill and the view every local navigates by. A well-worn two-hour round walk from the car park near Wellington rewards you with a horizon that stretches across the county.

04

Coronation Walks & the T50

Twenty-three waymarked circular trails through Telford's landscapes and heritage towns, plus the T50 — a 50-mile route split into seven stages for a proper walking holiday.

"As old as the Wrekin" — a Shropshire saying older than the hill can prove.

The Nature Reserve

Woodland trails and wetland habitat that make the park one of the UK's better urban nature reserves.
